Summit Racing, a motorsports parts distributor in Sparks, received a $50,725 incentive payment from the NV Energy Sure Bet program for investing in energy efficiency in its warehouse.
The company upgraded 789 lighting fixtures at the warehouse on Glendale Avenue in accommodate more energy efficient fluorescent lights. The new lights should reduce the annual energy usage by about 900,212 kilowatt hours, said Mary Ann Sheehan, project manager for energy efficiency and conservation at NV Energy.
