Construction begins this week on a $2.9 million job to improve wastewater treatment for the Rainbow Bend subdivision and Lockwood Mobile Home Park east of Reno.
Campbell Construction of Sparks will build the project designed by Farr West Engineering of Reno.
The work includes 4,300 feet of sewer line, a lift station and the abandonment of 20 septic systems.
It's financed by loans and grants from the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the state's community block grant development program.
