Great Basin Brewing Co. will open a second location at the former On the Border restaurant space at 5525 S. Virginia St.
Great Basin owners Tom and Bonda Young and partner Camille Prenn will invest $2 million to renovate the space. The new facility is expected to increase the brewery's capacity by 1.2 million pints annually, as well as provide space for a retail bottling line, a first for the popular Victorian Avenue brewpub. It also will have space available for special events and private dining.
The new restaurant, brewing and bottling facility is expected to employ up to 60, Young said. It is expected to open next spring.
