Nevada Geothermal Power Inc. said last week it's applied for a $57.9 million grant from federal stimulus funds to recover a portion of the cost of its Blue Mountain geothermal plant near Winnemucca.
The cash grant is available to cover 30 percent of the capital costs of the geothermal plant.
