Jeanne Baxter, president of Ethan Allen and Bassett Furniture in Reno, said last week her companies have launched a promotion that offers a $200 rebate to consumers who buy a new custom sofa or sectional and donate their old one to charity.
The promotion, which runs through October, provides rebates to customers who donate usable furniture to STEP 2, a program that assists displaced women as they move from temporary housing into their own homes.
