Scolari's Food & Drug, the Reno company that's the largest privately owned grocery chain in northern Nevada, will launch digital planning services for shoppers next month.

Grocery Shopping Network, a Minneapolis company, said last week it's signed Scolari's for an online service that allows customers to see each page of the grocer's weekly circular before it's available in print.

Customers can click on an advertised item, and it will be placed on a customized shopping list that can be printed. The program also connects customers to manufacturers' coupon offers and unadvertised specials that are customized to each shopper.

The site also includes recipes and cooking videos.

Grocery Shopping Network said it provides the service to 5,500 retail grocery locations in the United States. Scolari's operates 13 stores in northern Nevada and four in the Central Coast region of California.
