C4CUBE has scheduled its second Entrepreneur's Boot Camp in Reno on May 1-2 and has scheduled a grant-preparation workshop for requests for federal Small Business Innovation Research funding on April 30.
The Entrepreneur's Boot Camp, taught by experienced business people, shows participants how to position their businesses, avoid common mistakes and develop investor presentation materials.
Some participants will be invited to present their concepts to a group of angel investors next month.
The SIBR grant-writing workshop is taught by Suzanne Kalar, co-founder of ProNamix, a Texas company that helps researchers and engineers win government and private financing.
Subjects will include an introduction to SBIR resources, the basic requirements of proposals and writing skills.
For registration information on the Entrepreneur's Boot Camp or the SRIB grant workshop, go to http://www.c4cube.com. Both will be at the CRCUBE business incubator at 300 E. 2nd St.
