The fifth annual Entrepreneur Expo sponsored by Nevada's Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology is set for Sept. 17.

The expo, which includes exhibitors, speakers and panels that provide resources to start or grow a business, runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Atlantis Casino Resort Spa.

It's free.

Dave Archer, chief executive of Nevada's Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology, said the event is the only business-to-business expo in the state that's designed for people who are starting a small business.

"Nevada was built by small businesses, and these small businesses are critical to our future economic growth, vitality and diversity," Archer said.

Speakers will cover subjects such as financing, creation of business plans, branding and management. Exhibitors will include professionals such as lawyers and accountants as well as federal, state and local agencies that work with businesses.

The expo is part of NCET eWeek, an annual series of events to celebrate and encourage Nevada's entrepreneurs. The week kicks off on Sept. 2 with events such as the Sparks Chamber BizFlash "Is Entrepreneurship for You" presentation, UNR's social media forum and the Nevada Small Business Development Center workshop featuring Marie Gibson's QuickBooks presentation.
