Sparks Florist, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, has been recognized with the Sparks Chamber of Commerce Lifetime Achievement Award for sustained business success and support of on-profit and charitable organizations in the community.
The chamber also recognized State Sen. Bernice Matthews as its citizen of the year.
Cullen Dillard of United First Financial was recognized as member of the year by the chamber.
Legends at Sparks Marina was honored as business of the year, Disability Resources was recognized as nonprofit of the year, and Alice Heiman of Alice Heiman, LLC received the group's community spirit award.
