Paul Ochs has been named as director of security at John Ascuaga's Nugget.
Ochs previously held patrol, investigative and management positions with the Sparks Police Department. He began his career with the federal protective service in Reno.
He earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from the University of Nevada, Reno, and attended the FBI's 13-week National Academy in Quantico, Va.
