Floyd "Bud" Glisson has been named president and chief executive officer of Reno's GameTech International, five days after he was named to the board of directors of the company.

He succeeds Jay Meilstrup, who resigned February 23.

Glisson is former chairman and chief executive officer of Acres Gaming Inc. and also worked as chief financial officer of a unit of ConAgra.

He'll take the reins of publicly held GameTech on March 15, subject to regulatory approval.

GameTech makes electronic bingo systems and video lottery equipment.
