Sun2Power, a Reno company that's developing photovoltaic technology, is raising $1 million through the private sale of equity.
In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission last week, Sun2Power said it's sold $100,000 of the offering to two investors. It's selling the stock under an SEC rule that allows sale of up to $5 million in unregistered securities a year, primarily to sophisticated investors.
Headed by Richard Kelsey, a veteran northern Nevada technology entrepreneur, Sun2Power is creating technology to concentrate solar rays for improved production of electricity from sunlight. Its Web site says the company is developing systems for commercial buildings as well as portable units.
