The Nevada State Contractors Board revoked the licenses of a northern Nevada contractor last week and disciplined two others.

The board revoked the licenses of the parent companies of Granite Transformations of Reno after finding the companies provided substandard workmanship, abandoned a project, and failed to establish financial responsibility. Granite Transformations also was fined $3,250 and ordered to pay restitution.

In other disciplinary hearings last week, Adept Landscapaing, Adept Concrete and Pavers and Adept Painting of Reno were fined $400 and told to pay $7,000 to an injured party after the board found the companies completed substandard workmanship and failed to establish financial responsibility.

Shane E. Bryant of Reno was ordered to pay investigative costs after the board found he failed to establish financial responsibility.

The licenses of JKB Paramount Nevada LLC and JKB Nevada Inc., a pair of Turlock, Calif., builders that were active in the Fernley market, also were revoked. The contractors board said JKB failed to comply with the terms of a contract and failed to establish financial responsibility.
