CANV Construction, the construction arm of FORE Property Management of Las Vegas and Washington D.C., has completed construction of The View, a 308-unit apartment community at Selmi Drive in north Reno, and CANV expects to wrap up construction of the 300-unit Trails at Pioneer Meadows in Wingfield Springs in a few months.
Jonathan Cornelius, development director with FORE and CANV Construction, says leasing has been brisk at The View, and the property already is 60 percent leased. There are about 50 people already living at the Trails at Pioneer Meadows as well, Cornelius says.
"We've had some good traction but getting people out there is key. It will be nice once Vista Boulevard is expanded to four lanes."
Cornelius says FORE, which has constructed apartment communities in Reno-Sparks for more than 25 years, would consider building more units in the region but currently has no plans for further development.
"We are always open to opportunities in Reno," Cornelius says. "We would love to do something else if we could get the financing, but nothing is available right now."
