The Northern Nevada International Center will host 25 young South African entrepreneurs during a two-year period, and the center seeks internship possibilities and host families for the first group of 12 visitors set to arrive in mid-February.
Internships are sought at companies involved in information technology and communication, land surveying, tourism and hospitality, film production, fashion/clothes designing, carpentry and environmental conservation.
The interns will work Monday through Wednesday, Feb. 22-March 26. The other days of each week, they will study entrepreneurship at Sierra Nevada College. The U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs awarded the international center a grant for the program.
