Alex Vanderhoff has been named sales applications engineer for ElectraTherm Inc. of Reno.
She most recently worked as a civil engineer at Ferrell Civil Engineering in Kings Beach. Vanderhoof also has worked as a mechanical engineer at a wind power company in Verdi.
