Steven L. Phillips, M.D., has been named associate medical director of Saint Mary's Health Plans.
He succeeds Dr. Dennis Shuman, who will retire.
Phillips most recently worked as chief executive officer of Geriatric Specialty Care in Reno and medical director for Magellan Medicaid Administration. Additionally, he has worked with HealthInsight, the American Academy of Home Care Physicians, the American Geriatrics Society and the American Medical Directors Association.
