Brightpoint North America L.P. is developing a Reno-area distribution center that will employ 79.
The company told the Nevada Commission on Economic Development that wages for the new jobs will average $16.16 an hour. The commission approved tax abatements as an incentive for the company to locate in northern Nevada.
Brightpoint, a distributor of wireless products headquartered in Plainfield, Ind., decline to provide further details about its plans at this time.
State officials estimated the economic impact of the company over the next years at $95.3 million.
