Gardnerville artist Teri Sweeney will be continuing her beginning watercolor class into the month of April with "Cattails" being the subject of the upcoming session.
Sweeney's beginning classes are structured around projects, which contain different techniques in watercolor. Each student is provided with a reference photo and drawing to transfer to watercolor paper, eliminating concerns about drawing in order to concentrate on the painting experience. The techniques used to create each painting are demonstrated by Sweeney, and students are able to practice each step with supervision.
The class takes place Wednesday evenings from 6-8:30 p.m. at Sweeney's studio in Gardnerville. The cost for a four-week session is $80. An intermediate class is also held on 1-3:30 p.m. Wednesdays. Contact Sweeney at (775) 790-9261 for more information and to register.
