Joan Annette Hooper, 74, a resident of Carson City, passed away at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center on April 23, 2011. She was born Aug. 16, 1936, in St. Clair Shores, Mich. She is preceded in death by her parents Jerry and Frances Korinek, and her late husband Charles Hooper, Sr. She is survived by her six loving children: Gerald Hyden (Linda), Michael Hyden, Delana Annotti, James Hyden (Debbie), Jonathon Hyden, and Charles Hooper, Jr.; her sister Marion Kelley; her eight wonderful grandchildren: Selena Osterland, Amanda Hyden, Jason Annotti, Nicole Hyden, Christopher Hyden, Daniel Hyden, David Hyden, and Alex Moon; and her great-grandchild Jordan Osterland. There will be a celebration of life at 2 p.m. Friday, April 27, at 1329 Jobs Peak, Gardnerville, NV 89460. Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Carson City, is in charge of arrangements.
