Obituary: LeRoy Junior Cox

Feb. 27, 1929 - July 26, 2011

LeRoy Junior Cox, born February 27, 1929 in Oregon City, OR, to Daniel and Laura Cox, passed away on July 26, 2011 in Tucson, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Tamara; brother, Robert; sister, Martha; one granddaughter and one great grandson. LeRoy is survived by his spouse, Lois; two sisters, Lynn and Sherri; children, Pam, Amy, Pennie, Don, Ron; two step-daughters, Maria and Sandi; 12 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren; plus numerous cousins.

LeRoy served his country with the US Marines from 1950-1951 in Korea. He became a Land Surveyor in the California Bay area, Lake Tahoe and the Dalles and Estacada Dams in Oregon. He was also a 30 year resident of Carson City, Nev. A funeral service was held at East Lawn Palms Chapel, 5801 E. Grant Rd., Tucson, on Monday, August 1, 2011 at noon.
