Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent unless proved guilty in court:

• James Allen Jackson, 24, a construction worker from Dayton, was arrested at 9:05 p.m. Tuesday in the 400 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of felony parole violation. No bail was set.

• A 30-year-old unemployed Carson City man was arrested at 11:12 a.m. Tuesday in the 3300 block of Highway 50 East on a misdemeanor traffic warrant. Bail was set at $172.

• A 50-year-old cook from Carson City was arrested in the 1600 block of Medical Parkway on a Reno warrant for failure to comply. Bail was set at $575.

• A 63-year-old Merced, Calif., man was arrested at 6:10 p.m. Tuesday on East Musser Street on suspicion of misdemeanor contempt of court. Bail was set at $452.

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:

• Coroner call at 7:42 a.m. in the 2500 block of East Nye Lane.

• Report at 12:38 p.m. of a laptop stolen from Walmart.

• Twenty-minute standoff beginning at 2:46 p.m. in the 100 block of Corbett Street with a distraught person. Man surrendered.

• Report at 5:21 p.m. on Orovada Drive of an argument between a dog owner and a motorcyclist after the dog allegedly damaged the motorcycle.

• Report at 8:03 p.m. of a gambler punching and breaking a slot machine monitor at a Carson Street casino.

Lyon County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:

• Report at 7:22 a.m. of a vehicle vandalized on Grayhawk Drive in Dayton Valley.

• A quad was reported stolen at 1:27 p.m. on Grassland Road in Mark Twain.

• A bicycle was reported stolen at 1:56 p.m. from Santiago Way in Dayton.

• Report at 3:58 p.m. of appliances stolen from a vacant home on Slate Way in Fernley.

• Misdemeanor arrest at 10:36 p.m. on Goldfield in Mason Valley.

Storey County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:

• Report at 8:22 a.m. of a vehicle hitting a guard rail on Interstate 80.

• Hit-and-run report at 11:14 a.m. on Canyon Way.

• Report at 6:44 p.m. of a stray dog trying to get into a home on South M Street.
