Long-time Carson City resident Marjorie (Wolf) Brown passed away quietly in Reno on August 6, 2011, 3 weeks past her 90th birthday.

Born in Oklahoma, she lived with her husband, Clinton Brown, there and in Texas, Illinois, Washington, Alaska, Nevada, and India before moving back to Nevada and settling in Carson City over 40 years ago. Marjorie loved her large family; enjoyed music, crafts, books and poetry; and appreciated a clever joke. She devoted her life to caring for others, including members of her own extended family and as a nurse at Washoe Medical in Reno, getting her LPN certificate while in her fifties.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clinton, sons Clinton Jr. and David, and daughter Marguerite Brown. She is survived by 4 children and their spouses: Cliff Brown, Carolyn and Otmar Borchard, Mary Arthur, Dennis and Maureen Brown, and son-in-law Pete Brown. She also leaves 2 of her 6 sisters, 1 brother, 17 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. At her request, there will be no formal services.
