Please review this article about the city of San Francisco and the company Recology. If we were more like San Francisco, Nevada would be recycling already. We now have that opportunity with Recology if they are approved to operate the landfill. I respect their experience and knowledge. Please read this article, and seriously think about what Mr. Steele is thinking about - our environment or money in his pocket.

July 31 was unique. It was the day when 11 organizations of religious faiths met together at Mills Park Pavilion to picnic, pray, perform and bring foodstuffs to contribute to the Friends In Service Helping (FISH) program's stock for our community's hungry and destitute.
About 200 of us gathered together to greet and eat and sing and play together. Choirs sang and children laughed and played together. We learned each other's names and became friends and found joy in a day of giving and getting love and abundance.
Thank you, Nevada Appeal, for printing the notice of our community's religious organization's picnic for our community's less fortunate and needy folks.
