Mike and Pat Torvinen of Carson City will celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary Aug. 29.
They were married in 1981 by the late Judge Roy Torvinen in Reno at the Idlewild Park Rose Garden. They have two daughters; Katie, 26 and Kristen, 17.
The Torninens will celebrate their anniversary with family and friends in Beaver Creek, Colo., while attending the wedding of their niece.
