Thank you to Rick James for touching Veteran's Day tribute
Kudos and thanks to Rick James who was observed on 11-11-11 at 11 a.m. walking the rows of the Veteran's section of the Lone Mountain Cemetery playing his bagpipe in honor and remembrance of the Veterans who helped to provide the freedom we all enjoy. This was the only tribute found in Carson City to honor our Veterans and I think it is noteworthy. Thank you.

Thank you to businesses, city for honoring veterans
I want to take this opportunity to thank the city of Carson and all the businesses which made such an effort to thank our veterans on Veteran's Day for their military service and sacrifices.
I enjoyed a free lunch at Applebees, which was great. Their staff made us all feel so welcome and appreciated. Later, I played two hours at one of the casinos on a free veteran's pass.
In addition, many other businesses around town, as well as numerous individual persons, were so kind with their thoughtful and considerate gifts of praise and gratitude for the time we served.
The staff at Carson Plaza, where I reside, went all out with an evening for us veterans with a dinner, entertainment and special acknowledgment by the high school's R.O.T.C. students. Those kids really have it all together, and it's obvious they have a great future ahead of them. My appreciation to them, too.
Many thanks to all of you in Carson City who made us proud and thankful for the city in which we live.
Carol Deal, U.S.M.C. veteran
