Wind-energy incentives

NV Energy last week began accepting applications for WindGenerations, the company's wind turbine incentive program. The deadline is 5 p.m, Dec. 14. If any of the categories for applications are oversubscribed, successful applicants will be chosen by a lottery.

Applications must be submitted through http://NVenergy.com/renewablesenvironment/renewablegenerations/windgen/index.cfm.

For residential, small business and agricultural customers, the incentive rate for the 2011-12 application period will be $2.25 per watt, and the incentive for schools and public buildings will be $3.25 per watt.
