Robert L. Cannon, 77, passed away Feb. 2, 2011, in his home in Carson City. Robert was born Oct. 28, 1933, in Los Angeles to Johnny and Evelyn Cannon. Robert is U.S. Navy veteran who served in the Korean conflict. He worked as a deputy sheriff for the L.A. County Sheriff's department for 26 years, retiring in 1986. Robert was an avid L.A. Rams fan. He also enjoyed fishing, snow skiing, and coaching little league and youth football.
Robert moved to Nevada from Southern California in 1986. He is survived by four sons, David, Daniel (Belinda), Michael and Anthony; two daughters, Lenore Adams (Rick) and Julie Childs (Chris); 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011, at Walton's Chapel of the Valley, followed by a burial with military honors at Walton's Carson Gardens cemetery.
