CRAB CLAWS FOR A GOOD CAUSE
This event is one I actually will be attending and yes I'll be serving again Feb. 25 at the annual Crab Claws for a Good Cause. St. Teresa's student, Ms. Chayenne Duve requested my presence again, sending an urgent e-mail saying they still needed servers to help the school's annual fundraiser. Considering my daughter attended Bishop Manogue High School, I know you can always use volunteers to help raise money. Even if my children have graduated, I have a nephew, Zachary Harris, and friends' children like Cole Salaices, attending St. Teresa's. As Father Chuck would remind us all, "it's not always about you, it's about how you can help others."

High Sierra Swing Dance Club
High Sierra Swing Dance Club presents its monthly dance party Feb. 26, once again from 8-10:30 p.m. Partners are not required and the amazing Artisans Cafe will be open for refreshments and food. If you haven't tried this place, please do. It is absolutely amazing food. I hear from a good source that Artisans Cafe owner Danny Works is opening a new cool shop called the "Artisans BakeWorks" where the City Cafe used to be - the legislature should really like this place. Call 283-0164 to place an order. Good luck Danny, I plan to be one of your first customers.

One thing I really like about writing this column is the wonderful e-mails I receive. Last week I mentioned massage discounts for teachers and cancer survivors at Inner Touch Massage and Body & Soul. Cynthia Bunt, a licensed massage therapist here in town also offers discounted massages for caregivers and healthcare providers. This Valentine's Day, remember that person who gives so much of themselves to care for others, taking care of the sick, the elderly and in-home care givers; those wonderful individuals' who help out behind the scenes. Make someone's Valentines Day a very special day with a gift certificate for a therapeutic massage.
