(AP) - Vehicle repair shops in Nevada would be required to check and adjust the air pressure in tires under a bill pending in the Nevada Legislature.
SB144 was drafted at the request of the Legislative Commission's committee to study the production and use of energy.
Under the bill, the Department of Motor Vehicles could revoke or suspend a garage's registration if it fails to ensure that tires are properly inflated according to manufacturer specifications.
A hearing on the bill is scheduled Thursday in the Senate Transportation Committee.
