(AP) - U.S. Sen. Harry Reid will address a joint session of the Senate and Assembly during the third week of the Nevada Legislature that begins Monday.
The Democratic Senate Majority Leader is scheduled to address state lawmakers at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Assembly chambers.
Bills to outlaw using cells phones or texting while driving will be considered Tuesday by the Senate Transportation Committee.
Senate Judiciary on Wednesday will take up a bill to create a 10th judicial district in Nevada, and another to reduce the number of justices of the peace required in Clark County.
Money committees are scheduled to review the budgets of the attorney general's office, state treasurer, Department of Corrections, the Medicaid program, Tourism Commission, Public Employee Benefits Program, the DMV and K-12 education.
