Gov.-elect Brian Sandoval announced Friday he will keep Charles Harvey as Nevada's director for American Reinvestment and Recovery Act programs.
"Charles has demonstrated excellent fiscal management skills in monitoring the use of federal dollars," said Sandoval.
However, as the ARRA-funded programs wind down, Sandoval said he has asked Harvey to begin developing a comprehensive grants strategy to ensure the state continues to receive critical federal and private dollars to support programs and economic development.
Harvey was appointed by Gov. Jim Gibbons to ensure the state took advantage of all available opportunities for getting stimulus funding, particularly those creating jobs. He was assistant director for the Clark County recorder's office before joining the state.
Sandoval also announced Annalyn Bo Carillo will remain as his Las Vegas deputy handling boards and commissions. She has been in that position since Kenny Guinn's administration and, prior to that, interned in Sandoval's office when he was attorney
general.
Sandoval named Christina Davis his director of constituent services. She has worked for the Nevada Association of Counties as well as the Douglas County treasurer's office, Attorney General's office and the Legislative Counsel Bureau.
