Glen Van Treek has been named vice president of exploration for Paramount Gold of Winnemucca.
Van Treek most recently worked for Teck Resources Ltd., where he oversaw a geologic program at a mine in Chile. He also has worked for Placer Dome in Chile, the United States and Africa.
He earned a degree in geology from the University of Chile.
