Joe Goodman has a well told story in the Argonant called, "A Temporary Millionaire." It is a love story whose currents mingle with a stock deal. It is told in a modest style which only a genuine man of letters can handle.

Carson Opera House: Miss Eunice Goodrich and her excellent company will produce the comedy "Wanted a Husband" in three acts, a roaring farce, brim full of the most comic situations.

Montana legislature opened a new campaign to put their state into competition with Nevada for the divorce and gambling revenues.

50 YEARS AGO

Dr. O. Hovenden was installed as the head of the newly formed Lahontan Medical Society. Dr. Hovenden began practice in Ely in 1919 later moving to Carson City to practice. He is past president of the Nevada State Medical Association.

20 YEARS AGO

Carson City frosh basketball players won against Manogue's freshmen 59-32. Scoring for Carson were Joe Schreiner, 14 points; Matt Morgan, 10; Jon Van Hoose, 9; Todd Matorian, 8; Beau Bennett 6; Ross Miller, 4.

10 YEARS AGO

Photo caption: Tom Hughes reads through the names of students who have been placed on the Tree of Life memorial. Names of students and faculty who have died over the years were placed on the steel sculpture as leaves or apples. Hughes said he knew all the students and teachers in one way or another.
