Obituary: John W. Gallinger

John W. Gallinger, 88, of Carson City died June 30, 2011. He was born March 14, 1923, in Cumberland, Wis., to Walter and Marie (Buchanan) Gallinger. He was a veteran. He is preceded in death by brothers Bill and George. He is survived by his wife Betty Gallinger; daughters Donna (Clay) McCormick, and Barbara Briseno; sisters Helen Brose and Mary Herron; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A viewing will be at 9 a.m. Thursday with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. at FitzHenry's Chapel of Faith. Burial will follow at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley with full military honors. FitzHenry's Funeral Home is caring for arrangements.
