Obituary: Edith Josephine Flanders Rosseter

Edith Josephine Flanders Rosseter died at peace on a sunny Thursday afternoon attended by loving family members. Born in Dubuque, Iowa, she served in the WAC during World War II and met Roger Rosseter at Kelly Field in Texas. They married in 1946 and brought four children into the world, all of whom are surviving: Patricia Hubbard-Ducharme (Paul), Susan Hart (Mark Mathewson), Mark (Susan Lippold), and John (Theresa). She is also survived by 14 stellar grandchildren and 17 fine great-grandchildren.

Jo's twin Marilyn died in 1989, and Roger died in 2003. She is survived by brothers George Flanders and Harry Classen.

Jo personified courage and love and kindness. She didn't just shine, she sparkled.

Her memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 17 at Castelar Presbyterian Church in Omaha.
