RENO (AP) - Former Nevada running back Vai Taua has signed with the NFL's Buffalo Bills.
The three-time all-WAC selection rushed for more than 4,500 yards and 45 touchdowns in four years at Nevada. He's one of three former Wolf Pack players who signed with NFL teams Tuesday as undrafted free agents.
The Reno Gazette-Journal reports that defensive end Ryan Coulson signed with the New England Patriots and offensive lineman Jose Acuna went to the Dallas Cowboys.
Taua told the newspaper he also drew interest from Jacksonville, Washington and Atlanta. But he says the Bills seem like the best fit, partly because they sometimes run an offense similar to Nevada's "pistol."
Plus, he says the Bills were his favorite team growing up. He's flying on Wednesday to Buffalo. Training camp opens Friday.
