Heath Morrison, superintendent of the Washoe County School District, has been recognized as the Nevada Superintendent of Year by the Nevada Association of School Superintendents.
Morrison also was named president-elect of the organization for the 2011-2012 school year.
Carolin McIntosh of the Lyon County School District will serve as president of the association in 2011-2012, and Jeff Zander of the Elko County School District will be secretary-treasurer.
