The vacancy rate in office buildings in the Reno area stood at 19.4 percent at the end of the second quarter, Colliers International said last week.
That's essentially unchanged from the start of the year, brokers Tim Ruffin and Melissa Molyneaux said.
"We appear to be bouncing along the bottom, which is clearly better than the freefall of two or three years ago," the brokers said in a report.
The vacancy rate in downtown properties stands at 23 percent, while buildings in south Reno have a vacancy rate of about 18.6 percent. In the Meadowood area, the vacancy rate is 15.2 percent, Colliers International said.
Rents have remain unchanged, running about $1.40 to $1.70 in south Reno and $1.50 to $1.80 in downtown buildings.
