Obituary: Mary Catherine DeMattei "Rena"

Mary Catherine DeMattei "Rena," 88, died June 1, 2011, in Carson City. Rena was born Dec. 17, 1922, in San Francisco to Umberto and Luigia Covolo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor and a son Louis. She is survived by daughter Dorothy Augenstein; husband Marsh; daughter-in-law Joanne DeMattei; sister Erma DeMattei; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Viewing is 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m., both at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Carson City. Burial will follow at Genoa Cemetery. Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
