Howard D. Scarff, 88, of Carson City died June 4, 2011. He was born June 8, 1922, in Mediapolis, Iowa. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. His was predeceased by his wife Mavis. He is survived by his daughter Lynn Berry of Carson City; son Larry Scarff of Burlington, Mass.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Neptune Society is taking care of cremation. No other services are planned.
