Firecracker run sparks up again

It's time to light the fire under yourself for the annual Firecracker 10K and 2-milre run, sponsored by the Tahoe Mountain Milers and Sagebrush Stompers, on July 2.

The race will begin 7 a.m. at Riverview Park.

Registration forms are available at Ascent Physical Therapy, 3246 N. Carson St., or CV Sports, 911 Topsy Lane, suite 110.

Capitol City Kids Triathlon

The annual Capitol City Kids Triathlon on will be 7:30 a.m. July 23 at the Carson City Aquatic Center. The triathlon is open to children ages 4-18. Registration is $15 f received by July 12, day-of registration is $20.

Participants will receive T-shirts and medals.

Distances and start times vary depending on age.
