Obituary: Pauline Faylor

Pauline Faylor passed away Saturday, March 19, 2011, at Mountain Springs Assisted Living Center in Carson City. Pauline was born in Hiawatha, Utah, on Jan. 23, 1922, and moved to Carson City in 1956.

Pauline and her husband Max built and owned for many years the Capital Convalescent Center on Highway 50 with her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Harold and Eula Faylor.

Much of Pauline's life was spent at home with her family but she also worked for many years as a secretary in the Adjutant General's Office of the Nevada National Guard.

She was a wonderful cook and sewing was one of her favorite hobbies. She spent years making clothes, quilts, and dolls for her family and friends.

Pauline is survived by her husband of 68 years, Max Faylor; son Lynn Faylor; daughter Jeanne Killian (Ed); grandsons Beau Faylor, Max Faylor, and Michael Killian; granddaughters Shyra Barnes, Andrea Wheatley, and Michelle Killian and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Katie Saccamanno of Helper, Utah, and her brother John Rebol of Spanish Fork, Utah.

Pauline was a kind, wonderful and caring wife, mother and grandmother and she will be deeply missed by all her family.

There will be a celebration of Pauline's life to be announced at a later date.

The family would like to thank the staff of Cedar House at Mountain Springs Assisted Living for the wonderful care they gave Pauline.
