Carson City
The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:
• An 18-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 10:35 p.m. Saturday at Gordon and Fairview drives on suspicion of misdemeanor minor consuming, obstructing an investigation and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Bail was set at $1,276.
• Tyler S. Norman, 22, a transient, was arrested at 8:06 p.m. Saturday at Pheasant and Mockingbird drives on suspicion of felony grand larceny of a motor vehicle, eluding police, reckless driving, hit and run and contempt. Norman allegedly led police on a car chase, before crashing the suspected stolen vehicle into a fence and fleeing on foot. Bail was set at $25,000. Also arrested was Michael Swerdling, 23, unemployed of Carson City, on suspicion of felony possession of methamphetamine, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $2,500.
• Shae Dianne Brokel, 31, unemployed of Carson City, was arrested at 6:56 p.m. Saturday in the 800 block of North Carson Street on a warrant for suspicion of gross misdemeanor child neglect. Bail was set at $2,000.
• Justin Thomas Keeney, 33, unemployed of Carson City, was arrested at 7:56 p.m. Thursday in the 900 block of North Saliman Road on suspicion of felony domestic battery involving choking, felony preventing a victim from reporting a crime and gross misdemeanor child endangerment. Bail was set at $15,000.
• Larry Allen Arnold, 34, a cab driver from Carson City, was arrested at 8:23 p.m. Thursday in the 2600 block of College Parkway on suspicion of felony probation violation and misdemeanor violation of handlebar height on motorcycle. No bail was set.
• Duane Edward Fielder, 51, of Carson City, was arrested at 6:28 a.m. Friday in the 1800 block of North Edmonds Drive on suspicion of felony parole violation. No bail was set.
• A 51-year-old home builder from Carson City was arrested at 9:25 p.m. Friday in the 1700 block of Brown Street on suspicion of misdemeanor obstructing an investigation. Also arrested was Mona Crabtree, 42, unemployed, on suspicion of gross misdemeanor battery on a peace officer and obstructing an investigation. Bail was set at $2,907.
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Sunday:
• Report of CDs stolen from a vehicle parked in the 2700 block of Sneddon Way sometime before 8:40 a.m.
• A purse was stolen from a vehicle was it was parked on Ridgeway Court sometime overnight.
• The coin slots on dryers in the 1500 block of East Robinson Street were broken into sometime before 11:51 a.m.
• Residential burglary report at 2:367 p.m. in the 3500 block of Hobby Horse Lane.
Lyon County
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Sunday:
• Arrest at 2:33 a.m. on Main Street in Fernley.
• Report of two vehicles burglarized on Twain Avenue in Silver Springs at 1:47 p.m.
Storey County
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Sunday:
• Report of paint thrown by vandals onto front of C Street business.
• A caller on Mustang road reported at 10:08 a.m. that a "pot bellied pig arrived at residence."
• A woman on Canal Road reported at 10:55 p.m. that her emu was missing. She posted fliers in the area and said the emu was not vicious.
