Cynthia Woodgate, 56, a lifelong Carson City resident went to the Lord on May 7, 2011, ending her battle with cancer. Cyndy's friends and family will miss her smiling personality and her generosity. She was born Feb. 4, 1955. Cyndy worked for the State of Nevada in the Secretary of State office for 20 years and was currently working for Corporation Services Company. Cyndy is survived by her mother Hazel Woodgate, brother Bruce (Chris) Woodgate, sister Aleta (Dennis) Murphy and many nieces and nephews. Cyndy was a Past Queen of the Daughters of the Nile and an avid supporter of the Shriners Hospitals. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children 2425 Stockton Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95817. A celebration of Cyndy's life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011, at the First Presbyterian Church in Carson City. FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
