Thirteen nursing professionals have been recognized in the annual Northern Nevada Nurses of Achievement honors program.
Honored were: Teri Kozik of Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center for advanced practice; Doreen Begley of Early Head Start at the University of Nevada, Reno, for community health; Dawn Dollarhide of Renown Regional Medical Center for critical care; Teena Thomas of Renown Regional Medical Center for nursing education; Elizabeth Cogan of Renown Regional Medical Center for nursing innovation; Jean Lyon of Sierra Surgery Hospital for leadership; Gayle Wickman of UNR's Orvis School of Nursing for lifetime achievement; Sandra Ryan of GI Consultants as a licensed practical nurse; Erika Clizer of the VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System for long-term care and rehabilitation; Bridget Tuma of Renown Regional Medical Center for medical, surgical, maternal child; Bobbi Gillis of Renown Regional Medical Center for office and outpatient; Megan Pratt of Renown Regional Medical Center for patient advocacy; and Lisa Dunkelberg of Carson Valley Medical Center for rural health.
