Obituary: John (Jack) Luhrs

John (Jack) Luhrs, 86, of Carson City died May 19, 2011. Jack was born Dec. 17, 1924, in Gardnerville to Fritz and Alice Luhrs. His wife of 63 years, Celeste, preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughters, Suzanne (Gary) Donohew of Dayton and Beverly (Patrick) Engelhardt of Mtn. Home, Idaho; two granddaughters; brother Marvin Luhrs (Irene) of Carson City and numerous nieces and nephews. At his request, no services will be held. His ashes will be buried in the veterans section of the Lone Mountain Cemetery.
