WMS Gaming's 53,000-square-foot facility in South Meadows was awarded Gold Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design program.
Sustainable design features such a high-efficiency HVAC systems, drought-resistant landscaping and a rooftop solar array will allow WMS Gaming to reduce its annual energy consumption by 28 percent. Reno's United Construction designed and built the facility in conjunction with Gaia Development, a Marina Del Rey, Calif.-based consultancy firm.
