Carson City

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Sunday:

• A 3-year-old boy was found alone on East Fifth Street by Legislative police at 7:15 a.m. The boy apparently wandered away from a motel. His father was located 25 minutes later. Child Protective Services was called.

• Report of a patio decoration stolen from the 700 block of Silver Oak Drive sometime before 2:06 p.m.

Lyon County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Sunday:

• Report of a man stealing two cases of beer from a store on Main Street in Fernley at 2:17 a.m. A felony arrest was made.

• Report of a garage door on Boulder Circle in Dayton damaged at 8:50 a.m.

• Misdemeanor arrest on Hardie Lane in Fernley at 6:34 p.m.

• Arrest on Highway 50 East in Dayton at 11:10 p.m.

Storey County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded recently:

• A man wanted in connection with a stabbing at the Ponderosa Saloon on C Street about 9:30 p.m. Friday night surrendered to police Saturday. Jose Luis Vargas, 36, was booked into the Storey County Jail on suspicion of felony battery. He allegedly stabbed a man in the lower back following a dispute over a woman. Vargas then allegedly fled. His bail is set at $30,000. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.

• Report of an injured horse on Overland Road at 8:01 p.m. Sunday.

• The railroad crossing in Gold Hill was stuck in the down position at 9:32 p.m.
