Woman sought in connection with death investigation

Douglas County investigators are seeking the public's help in finding a woman in connection with a suspicious death in Topaz Ranch Estates.

Jeanine Mona Escandon, 38, is a person of interest in connection with a suspicious death discovered on Tuesday morning.

Sgt. Jim Halsey said that while the details of the investigation can't be revealed, authorities hope someone can help them locate Escandon.

She is described as 5-feet, 6-inches tall, about 105 pounds, with a thin build, brown eyes and medium brown hair. Escandon has false front teeth.

Halsey said she is believed to be driving a maroon 1990 Chrysler Imperial four-door sedan with the Nevada personalized license plate No. F1NEV.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Escandon or the vehicle is asked to contact Douglas County Sheriff's Office dispatch at (775) 782-5126.
